In Kosovo, an estimated 20-30 thousand stray dogs roam the streets, facing harsh conditions and uncertain futures.

Our Foundation supports Animal Rescues that take care of strays, whether it is with helping fund spay/neutering, vaccinating, fostering, rehoming or rehabilitating, we aim to provide ease for those actively making an impact.

What We Do

Stray Angels Kosova is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to helping street dogs in Kosovo. Our main focus is on providing medical care, sterilization, and emergency support for dogs that have no shelter. We direct all donations toward veterinary bills and essential aid for animals in urgent need.

Find out more about our work here.

Our greatest successes include getting strays into homes (mostly dogs, but also cats), performing sterilizations, and helping dogs (and cats) heal from serious injuries and illnesses. We keep full transparency with funds and value integrity and honesty above all else.

Do you take in dogs or run a shelter?

Our organization focuses on helping fund medical assistance and improving the welfare of street dogs. We collaborate with rescuers and shelters when possible, our resources are dedicated to the most vulnerable dogs—those still living on the streets.

Can you help build or fund private shelters?

Our mission is centered on providing direct medical aid to street dogs, and we do not have the capacity to fund or build private shelters. We encourage independent rescuers to seek sustainable solutions and will gladly share advice on fundraising strategies.

Do you accept surrendered pets?

If you are struggling to care for a pet, we recommend contacting local rescues or rehoming networks.

Can I adopt a dog through Stray Angels Kosova?

We can connect you with rescuers who are rehoming dogs in need.

How can I support Stray Angels Kosova?

You can help in many ways!

Share & Educate – Raising awareness is one of the most powerful ways to help stray dogs.

Donate – Contributions go directly toward veterinary bills.

Foster – Temporary fosters provide a safe place for dogs recovering from medical care.

Volunteer – Help with transport, fundraising, or advocacy.

How do you ensure transparency in donations?

We provide updates and receipts for veterinary expenses to maintain full transparency. We are committed to using every euro efficiently for the well-being of street dogs.

Do you work with the municipality or the government?

Stray Angels Kosova is an independent NGO. While we advocate for better animal welfare policies, we do not receive government funding and rely solely on donations.

How can I become a foster parent?

Fostering is a crucial way to help! If you’re interested, let us know, and we will contact you when a dog needs temporary care. Fostering is a great way to provide immediate help for the situation while a solution is found for the stray animal.
